EAGLE offers an opportunity to develop invaluable leadership skills in a private, supportive, and tranquil environment and our state-of-the art facility on the cliff edge of the Pacific Ocean. EAGLE is an original and unique program that will allow you to address topics like problem solving, setting boundaries, communicating with confidence, developing trust, and coping under pressure. You will then be encouraged to apply these skills to your personal and professional life. Through our equine-assisted activities, you will work with a horse in a hands-on manner you have never experienced if your only interaction has been trail riding or a few lessons here and there.
We are happy to offer our guests a special opportunity to interact with our therapy horses Mango and Fix. However, EAGLE is not a trail ride or a riding lesson. Activities are conducted on the ground and not on the horse.
Your facilitator for this experience is Dr Jennifer Walker, developer of the EAGLE program. Dr Jennifer is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, and she is certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Dr Jennifer is a US Army retiree and combat veteran.
Each EAGLE session is unique to the needs of the individual, couple, or group. What you do with the horse is dependent on your needs, abilities, and connection with the horse. Each session is approximately 90 minutes, and the cost for each session is $150 for an individual or couple. Additional sessions and larger groups can be accommodated with special arrangements. Date and time for this activity are subject to facilitator availability.
